Best Summer Camps Of The North Shore
Summer camps are a great way for kids to have fun and meet new friends. The Northshore offers camps for kids of all ages and every interest including adventure camp, sports, art, STEM, sailing, and so much more. This summer there are camps available for a wide range of ages and interests. Here are some suggestions to jumpstart your camp search.
Summer @ Brookwood
Brookwood School
Beverly, MA
This year, Summer @ Brookwood will have a mix of Day Camp, Speciality Camps, Sports Clinics, and Leadership opportunities for Early Childhood students through rising 9th graders. This year, we’ll only be offering these opportunities to Brookwood students.
Summer @ Pingree
Pingree School
Hamilton, MA
For over 35 years, Pingree has offered one of the best and most comprehensive summer programs on the North Shore. Located on Pingree School's 100-acre campus, the camp uses the gymnasium, swimming pool, athletics fields, pond (for kayaking), computer labs, theater, and dance, music, and arts classrooms. All campers develop skills and confidence, increase self-esteem, and most importantly, have fun!
Summer @ GUS
Glen Urquhardt School
Beverly, MA
SUMMER @GUS takes full advantage of the beautiful Glen Urquhart School campus, nestled within 23 acres of woodlands and marsh. The real gem is our outdoor space, including age-appropriate play areas, athletic field, archery range, basketball and four square courts, gaga pit, volleyball court, nature trails, outdoor classroom, woodlands, wetlands, and rock ledges. We also utilize adjacent parks, trails, and other North Shore resources to extend our programming.
YMCA of the North Shore
YMCA of the Northshore has been hosting action-packed camps for years at their Gloucester, Haverhill, Ipswich, Rowley, Beverly, Marblehead, and Salem facilities. Beautiful outdoor spaces are the backdrop for adventure courses, sports, boating, arts and crafts, and more.
Eastern Point Yacht Club
Sailing and Adventure Camp
Gloucester, MA
Students ages 8-15 years will sail, motor, or paddleboard to a daily destination. Here they will learn on-water safety and navigation skills as well as an appreciation of Cape Ann’s intricate ecosystems. Students will learn boat rigging, major knots, points of sail, and basic sail trim.
Appleton Farm Camp
Ipswich, MA
At Appleton Farm, campers are introduced to essential barnyard chores such as feeding, mucking stalls, and collecting eggs; planting, weeding, and watering in the Learning Garden; cooking and tasting delicious seasonal foods; hiking adventures; farm-themed arts and crafts and science experiments; and games, songs and free play in the rolling grasslands.
Summer Shore
Beverly, MA
Summer Shore day campers explore science, art, theater, sports, music, writing, reading, engineering, math, and more! New for 2022: day camp for children ages 3 and 4 from June 20-July 1! The full-day camp is offered for children 5-12 and half-day sports camps are for students in Grades 1-9.
Summer Quest
Ipswich, MA
Located at the historic Crane Estate, campers are introduced to nature, culture exploration, swimming, quests, and more.
LaVida Adventure Camp
Wenham, MA
No screen time here. This day camp is for outdoorsy campers ages 10-15 who enjoy adventure activities like kayaking, canoeing, mountain biking, rock climbing, ropes courses, and camping.
Campers discover their potential as they step out of their comfort zones and leave technology behind.
Camp Christopher
St. Johns Prep
Danvers, MA
Camp Christopher gives 4- to 12-year-olds a summer of fun and new adventures. With a 1:8 counselor ratio within each group, Camp Christopher offers a safe, fun experience and all activities are taught by experienced staff. Bring your goggles as there is daily swim instruction. This is a full-day program blending structure and flexibility offering campers a chance to explore, develop and grow.
